This superb wine has won 2 Gold Medals - Gold Medal Halliday and Gold Medal Huon Hooke
The fruit for this wine was hand-picked from our estate plantings.  After fermentation by indigenous yeasts, the wine was matured in new and one year old French oak hogsheads. The excellent 2021 season produced slowly ripened fruit with vibrant colours and heightened varietal flavours, accompanied by excellent natural acidity.  This wine will develop in the bottle over a further seven years or more.

    Bouquet: Morello cherry with herbal tea, red capsicum, a touch of lavender and spicy new French oak

    Flavour: Morello cherry with forest floor, black olive, a touch of saffron and cloves, and integrated, spicy French oak

    Texture: Intense and complex, showing perfect balance and a long harmonious finish

    Alcohol: 13.5 %
